Gwent Factions Wallpaper (2022)

Alright, so I've been sinking a lot of my (free) time recently in Gwent and for the first time in years I am having so much fun and enjoying it immensely. Remember that? Enjoying online video games and not seeing them as some god damn stupid "esport" hyper-competitve, cash-grabbing machinaries of despair, lunacy and hipster-filled, mirror-like living rooms and bad manners and foul language? No they are competitve for sure, but that's not what I extract from these types of games. Never played Gwent before until recently, but I am not a complete stranger to online fantasy card games like; Hearthstone, Magic The Gathering or even Elder Scrolls: Legends. Been actually playing Hearthstone for years (since early beta), but Gwent is truly something else entirely. And so, I designed this cool and classy wallpaper, because I was very inspired by all the visuals and concept of the game, like; the cards, the music, the atmosphere, how snappy it is, quick to get into, and how pleasing to the eye is, and also because I am and have been for many years a MASSIVE fan and of The Witcher books, video games and now the Netflix TV series (sadly Henry will no longer be Geralt for us in the next 4th season, but whatever). Anyways. This wallpaper is my little homage and appreciation of the game and of all the hard work the developers from CPR put into making it and polishing to its current state. Games are hard to make man! If I can use a one word to describe what Gwent is to me, and what it represents, and how it works on my psyche, then that word would be "enchantment". Full-blown enchantment in a video game form. Gwent is a truly a special love-letter to all Witcher fans out there. Now toss a coin to your writer (yours truly) and put some legendary cards on the board. For Skellige!
